Howdy! 〰️

My name is Marisa Opheim, most people call me “Mo!” I’m a Minnesota native residing in the beautiful state of Montana as a freelance graphic designer.

I've harbored a strong passion for organization for as long as I can remember, whether it was crafting personal to-do lists, coordinating events, managing schedules, or even tackling the chaotic household junk drawer. I found this desire for order seamlessly intertwined with my love for art and design. My design journey began in my sophomore year of high school when I took my first 'Intro to Graphic Design' course. This experience sparked curiosity in me, leading me to explore the elements that contribute to the visual appeal of our day-to-day lives. I quickly learned the profound impact graphic design has on our daily decision-making. Since then, I've been captivated by the art of arranging and presenting information in a visually compelling and meaningful manner.

“Design is the intermediary between information and understanding.” – Hans Hoffmann

I proudly graduated with a double major in graphic design and communications, gaining incredible experience in the visual arts — spanning from watercolor to oil painting, drawing, photography, 3D art, graphic design courses, and art history. The academic relationships and artistic skills I learned here built a strong foundation for my graphic design career.

With 10 years of design and marketing experience, I have held positions at a sign company in Fargo, ND, a marketing, media, & events company in Big Sky, MT, and a global real estate company with five locations in Southwest Montana. I have gained expertise in print production, publication design, brand development, digital assets, event and marketing design, team management, leadership, and collaboration.

When we work together, the chaos you may feel about your project will be organized through a thoughtful conversation about you and your business. A strategic plan will be made to meet your design goals, and no detail will be missed.

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to find ways to use my organizational skills to design efficiently and beautifully for my clients. Let’s get your project started!
